Vacqueyras

The name of Vacqueyras wines means “Valley of Stones” in Latin. This cru is located at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The vines grow on wide terraces consisting of fallen limestone, as well as flint and sandstone river stones. This highly unusual terroir confers great finesse, elegance, and minerality to the red, white, and rosé wines.

Made primarily with Grenache, this Cru Vacqueyras is elegant and mineral. It is well-structured with a silky tannic texture as well as considerable freshness, lots of finesse, and a long fine aftertaste. The wine displays a medley of flavours on the palate – red fruit, raspberry, cherry, and sweet spice – along with a touch of menthol on the aftertaste.
